About Us
How It Began
Gary Ballesteros started in the flooring installation service in 1980, working for retailers in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Along with working as an installer, Gary worked in sales and as a materials buyer for a large St. Louis based company. In 1988, Gary incorporated and began operating out of his home doing both sales and installation while looking for a location for a retail store. In 1999, Gary and his wife Ann purchased the current location for Creative Flooring and opened for business in 2000. Owning his own store allowed Gary the ability to work on more creative projects and custom-designed installations. A heavy focus on product knowledge, proper installation techniques, dedication to customer service, and a family atmosphere were Gary’s goals for Creative Flooring.
Where We Are Today
Located at 126 S. Prairie in Bethalto, Illinois, Creative Flooring is family-owned-and-operated. Capable of providing service to both residential and commercial clients on any budget, Creative Flooring has a large selection of tile, hardwood, LVP, LVT, carpet, and vinyl as well as custom area rugs.
